The University of Miami offers a B.S. degree majoring in Meteorology as part of the Marine and Atmospheric Science program.

M.S. and Ph.D. degrees are obtained through RSMAS and the Division of Meteorology and Physical Oceanography (MPO). Information about applying to graduate school can be found on the RSMAS Graduate Studies page. The MPO graduate study guide and course syllabi should also be useful.




Ever since supervising Mathematical Methods and Optimization Theory courses while I was a graduate student in Cambridge, I've always enjoyed the challenge of teaching. Since I moved to UM as a postdoc in 2001, I've been teaching courses at the undergraduate (U) and graduate (G) levels:
