Biography

Dr. Chen obtained her Ph.D. in Meteorology at Pennsylvania State University (1990), M.S. at University of Oklahoma (1985), and B.S. at Peking University (1982).

Research Interests

Mesoscale and tropical meteorology, atmospheric convection, air-sea interactions, coupled atmosphere-wave-ocean modeling of tropical cyclones, coastal meteorology, and numerical weather prediction.
